Engineer ($$$) for flux tower installation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, contracted via Ghent University. LAST APPLY: August 1, 2018. We look for strongly motivated candidates with relevant working experience or a diploma-holder of one of following training programs: MsC Electronical Engineering and ICT Engineering, MsC Electrical Engineering, MsC Civil Engineering, or equivalent; Relevant experience with dataloggers is a strong plus. Application Details and Contact Information

Postdoctoral Scholar ($$), studying Arctic Tundra Biogeochemistry in Berkeley Lab’s Earth & Environmental Sciences Division. LAST APPLY: July 31, 2018. This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral scientist to advance understanding of the effects of temperature on permafrost ecosystems and soil carbon cycling. You will work with a team of scientists studying ecosystem response to warming in Alaska as part of the Next Generation Ecosystem Experiment - Arctic project (NGEE). Application Details and Contact Information

Postdoc Research Associate ($$) at Humboldt State University, Arcata, California. LAST APPLY: rolling. $55,000/yr. This position will focus on habitat model methods for riverine salmonid population dynamics models tailored to address management alternatives. It will include evaluating best practices for assigning flow-to-habitat relationships for large river systems, and make methodological recommendations according to practitioner’s data types and simulation needs. The work will include extensive literature review and research development, followed by collaborative implementation and report or journal manuscript completion. Successful completion will also require computational implementation (i.e., computer software coding) to perform the evaluations and implement various habitat model methods. It is anticipated that this task will take approximately one year. Application Details and Contact Information
